Asphalt Patching and Striping at Lifted Trucks in Aurora

  • Aurora, CO
  • Truck dealership parking lot

Asphalt Coatings Company patched the parking lot at Lifted Trucks on South Havana Street in Aurora and later striped its stall rows. Over two days our crew dug out long strips and smaller areas of old asphalt, from the front sign to the rear drive, and filled them with new asphalt. The building still wore its Coming Soon banner at the time. About two weeks later we came back and painted white stall lines on the black asphalt beside the showroom and along the retaining wall.

How the patches went in

Each repair area at Lifted Trucks was dug out, checked, filled and sealed at the seams.

  1. Dig out

The crew removed the old asphalt in long strips across the lot and in smaller squares beside curbs and in front of the showroom.

  2. Check depth

A tape measure held against each cut edge showed how deep the dig-out went.

  3. Coat the edges

Before any new asphalt went in, the cut edges were coated in a glossy black layer.

  4. Fill

New asphalt filled the strips on both sides of the concrete drainage pan below the dealership sign.

  5. Seal the seams

Finally, a crew member brushed black sealant along the joins between new and old asphalt.

Where the patches run

Finished patches now cross most parts of the Lifted Trucks lot.

  • Across the lot

A long, straight patch covers the trench that ran from the island toward the neighboring shops.

  • Beside the building

Two patch strips meet in the open lot next to the dealership building.

  • At the curbs

One square patch sits tight against the curb by a yellow ramp, and another wraps around a landscaped island.

  • Rear drive

Behind the building, a curving patch follows the drive lane past the white block wall.

Striping the stall rows

White stall lines now mark the rows beside the truck display island, in front of the showroom and along the retaining wall. A concrete wheel stop sits at the head of each stall.
