- Warehouse store parking lot and fuel station
Asphalt Coatings Company milled, repaved and striped parts of the Costco parking lot in Superior, including the lanes at the fuel station. Paving started in daylight on the drive lanes in front of the warehouse. The fuel station and the loading area behind the store were milled at night, and two nights later the fuel lanes had new asphalt and bright yellow markings. Stall striping and curb paint followed over the next two weeks.

Milling and paving the drive lanes
The drive lanes were milled and paved one strip at a time, by day out front and by night around the fuel station.

Mill
A milling machine cut away the worn asphalt under work lights.

Pave
A dump truck fed the paver while the crew raked the edge of the new mat.

Roll
A roller then worked the fresh strip, beside a milled lane still waiting for its turn.
Striping the new asphalt
Fresh paint went onto the new asphalt at the fuel station, the lot exits and the stall rows.

Fuel lanes
Yellow arrows and lane lines guide cars toward each pump island, and a pointed yellow outline marks the island's approach.

Hatched area
White diagonal hatching fills a tapered no-drive area beside the lane.

Exit lanes
At one exit, a double yellow line, a white stop bar and two turn arrows split the outgoing lanes.

Stall lines
Rounded hairpin lines mark each stall in the newly paved rows.

Curb paint
We painted the curved curb yellow beside the fuel station's emergency shut-off post.
