Milling left a grooved surface that the crew cleaned off before paving. New asphalt then went down along the lane, and a roller compacted it in front of the shops.

Milling and paving the lane
The drive lane went from worn asphalt to a new surface in four steps.
Mill
A milling machine ground the old surface off the lane, its conveyor raised high over the cut.
Clean
Our crew cleared the grooved, milled lane while a skid steer worked further along it.
Pave and roll
Where the lane bends past a row of boulders, a roller compacted the fresh asphalt.
Finished lane
The repaved lane now runs dark and even beside the older striped parking rows.
