Asphalt Coatings Company sealcoated the private streets at Ventana Amber Ridge in Castle Pines and painted the markings that sit on them. White chevrons now mark the speed humps, and a row of yield triangles crosses the drive by the gated entrance. Speed hump and entrance markings
The white markings tell drivers where to slow down and where to give way.
Speed humps
A broad chevron with a small triangle beneath it marks the crest of each speed hump.
Clean edges
On the first visit, a crew member peeled the tape away from a chevron that had just been painted.
Striping machine
Further up the same street, our striper pushed a line-striping machine along the curb.
Yield triangles
Near the gate, three white yield triangles cross the entrance drive.
Sealcoat on the private streets
Ventana Amber Ridge's streets carry a fresh black sealcoat from curb to curb.
At the entrance the coat stops on a sharp line, and the older grey pavement of the public road starts there. On the second visit a row of cones strung with chain kept cars off a newly coated street until it was ready to open.
